The Church at 117
I always try and keep the blog very positive and today is no exception. Manchester has so much to offer to visitors and locals alike. From Old Stone Fort State Park offering great hiking and history, Bonnaroo offering some of the best music in the world right in our own back yard, convenience to travel being located nicely between Chattanooga and Nashville, a world class conference center that is perfect for your large events, a square that is coming alive and breathing new life and now I feel like the newest addition of “The Church at 117” is a nice addition to that list. I went to the opening night at this new and restored facility and came away very impressed. Our company, Coffee County Realty, had the “Old Church” listed when Mr. Steve West purchased it with a vision of turning it into an Event Center. Everyone who attended Saturday night caught a firsthand look at the vision coming to life. The place has been restored and repaired to make an impression on event goers for sure. It doesn’t look like the building we had listed not long ago. The paneled office areas have been transformed to a sanctuary, dance floor, or dining area depending on your event. The event opened with prayers of blessings throughout the building. Mr. West had his band playing Saturday night with the room full of curious minds that came and to see what all the fuss was about. The band flat out knocked attendees socks off. They were fabulous and the quality of music and sound in the room was among the best I have heard. I have been to a few shows at the Ryman in Nashville, also called the “Mother Church” and there is something about a concert there that is special to me. I am not sure if it is the history, the stained glass or the sound quality at the Ryman but this new Manchester event center has a little bit of that same magic to me. Manchester's own Mother Church certainly did not disappoint and I am looking forward to attending future events there. There are many times each year my job as a realtor turns me into a little bit of a tour guide. I take folks to the Recreation Center, Old Stone Fort, one of our nice restaurants, and around the square. I talk about what we have to offer from our city and state parks to our vibrant industrial park and jobs and the potential of the future of our town. From now on The Church at 117 will be part of the conversation. Thank you for choosing Manchester to be part of your vision Mr. West, I wish you nothing but the best.
Thanks,
